RFG Reporter
RFG Reporter is a work-based learning programme for journalists with a refugee or migrant background who wish to strengthen their position within the Dutch media sector. Each year, a small group of motivated participants is selected for an eight-month programme.
Participants are paired with experienced mentors and attend workshops on topics including the Dutch media landscape, writing for Dutch media, interview techniques, AI, media ethics and entrepreneurship. They also visit newsrooms and take part in editorial meetings. The programme results in journalistic pieces that are published by RFG Media and other Dutch media outlets.
