My name is Barbara and I am an investigative journalist from Egypt with more than five years of experience. I have worked with renowned international and local organisations, including Arab Reporters for Investigative Journalism (ARIJ), the International Journalists’ Network (IJNet) and BBC Arabic.
My research work focuses mainly on human rights issues, with a particular focus on the position of women and children, as well as exposing corruption within public companies and institutions. I have experience in data collection, conducting interviews and conducting open source research.
I am currently looking for opportunities to further develop my career within the Netherlands, working on research projects that address social and humanitarian issues with an international dimension.
I am fluent in Arabic and English, and have a working knowledge of Italian and Dutch. This allows me to function effectively in multilingual and multicultural environments.
