Photography project New Voices

Samer Ismail (Syria, 1992) is an artistic soul with a passion for the camera, which he uses to capture life around him. ‘I love exploring the world around me and trying new things.’

Parisa Akbarzadehpouladi (Iran, 1978) began her professional career in Iran, where she worked mainly for television and journalistic outlets, with a sharp focus on promoting women's and children's rights.

For Lugen Khzam, photography is a way of sharing her experiences and emotions without words. Her photographs, though vibrant and colourful, often include an element of introspection and the desire for change.

Eyas Matouk is a remarkable photographer who harnesses the power of the image to tell stories, both of individuals and communities. As an artist, he combines his deep interest in psychology with his passion for photography, resulting in a celebration of human experiences and heritage.

With her camera, keen eye and good sense of aesthetics, Maram Al-Salahi strives to capture universal humanity and make it visible. She believes in the power of the image to break down language and cultural barriers and tell powerful, hidden stories.

The delicate balance between the transience of the moment and the eternity of an image is what photographer Ayaz Saadatpour Vahid looks for in his artistic work. He continues to evolve himself with images that are as timeless as they are penetrating.

Ali Al Saleh (Syria, 1990), participant in the New Voices II exhibition, not only captures moments with his camera, but also brings deeper social themes to light.

Maria Bodrug (Moldova, 1997) grew up in a country steeped in cultural stories and traditions. She first experimented with other art forms, from web design to abstract painting. But her love for photography was always strong: ‘For a long time, I played with the thought of doing more with that.’

For Ouday Zaiter (Lebanon, 1991), photography is a universal language that everyone can understand. This belief is the driving force behind his work, through which he aims to create images that raise awareness about social issues and reveal deeper insights.

Sarah Alzalab (Yemen, 1992) finds beauty in life's unremarkable moments. As a photographer, she strives to capture emotions and stories with her lens. She has managed to translate her personal experiences of living in a foreign country into poignant photographic stories that touch the heart and broaden the view. Photography allows her to ‘express herself and connect with others on a deeper level’.
